Academy — In Development

Implementation training for AI automation. Two tracks: operators and developers.

Anthropic shipped Claude for Small Business, and they shipped a free AI Fluency Course alongside it. The course teaches the fundamentals: what these tools are, how to think about them, how to start.

What it doesn't teach — and isn't trying to — is how to actually deploy these tools. That's what Obaron Academy is being built to teach.

No courses available. No enrollment open. No shipping windows.

The gap between "the tool exists" and "it's running in your shop."

Anthropic ships the tools and teaches the fundamentals. The implementation craft — the operator-grade patterns for getting something running in a real business with real customers — that's an open space. Obaron Academy is the training arm of the Obaron practice. We teach what the practice does, drawn from the patterns that work in real engagements.

Same discipline. Different rooms.

Operator track

For people running the business, and the people who install for them

  • Operators inside SMBs who want to install AI automation themselves rather than hire a concierge service. Owners, ops leads, the person doing the work. No engineering background assumed.
  • Non-technical consultants — bookkeepers, fractional COOs, virtual assistants, agency operators — adding AI automation to the service they already deliver.
  • Independent AI installers — the person who walks into a small business with the spec already written, runs a discovery, ratifies a voice, wires one workflow, and stands by it. End-to-end installer, not a tutorial graduate.
Developer track

For the people building the agents

  • Engineers and technical founders building on Claude / Agent SDK / MCP who want patterns, not vibes. Approval-gate design, voice ratification, harness architecture, tool policy enforcement.
  • Implementation consultants on the technical side — agencies and freelancers offering Claude-stack builds.

First five modules.

1

AI Tools, Plain English

What Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot actually do, how they differ, where each one fits.

2

How AI Agents Actually Work

The architectural mental model every operator needs before they install anything. Assistants respond; agents take action. The Approval Gate module (next) is where the architecture earns its keep.

3

The Approval Gate

Thinking surface, execution surface, the human stamp in the middle. The pattern that makes AI installs trustworthy.

4

The Install Journey

Four stages from "we should try this" to "it's running in our shop." Walked through real SMB shapes.

5

Tool Policy for Small Teams

One page. What's the default, what's allowed on the side, what's off-limits, how to ask.

Early delivery will be hands-on — workshops, small cohorts, the occasional custom engagement. That's by design: live delivery is how the curriculum gets sharpened. As the patterns harden, they get packaged into self-serve courses.

We build on top. The free AI Fluency Course is the foundation; if you're new to AI tools, start there. Academy curriculum assumes you've completed it (or have equivalent grounding) and teaches the next layer — vertical-specific deployment patterns the free course doesn't reach.

We're not repackaging Anthropic's content. We're filling the gap above it.

Stay in the loop.

When the first cohort opens, we'll announce it here, on the Obaron newsletter, and through practice channels. Sign up to hear when enrollment opens.
